So I started working on my drawing for our group illustration blog
http://www.tumblr.com/blog/blackdarknesswithbitchesandbeer. Which we have yet to rename. By the way thank you for updating it Lauryn.
Our first prompt was to illustrate our favorite summer drink or food. I chose Otter pops, my childhood favorite. Unfortunately my siblings and I argued over them so much that they have been banned from our house to this very day.
A sketch scanned in before I start working on it in Photoshop. The heads are not forming the top of the heart very well, but I am going to make adjustments in Photoshop rather then redraw it.

Everyday Matters Challenge
A couple of years ago I stumbled upon the Everyday Matters challenge and thought it was really interesting. Basically it is a list of prompts based on everyday things (ex: draw a shoe, draw your hair in the morning, draw a garden tool) and the main focus is on drawing and creating illustrated journals. I never actually started it back then, but recently it has come to mind again. Just getting out of college I am trying to find ways for me to keep practicing and exploring my style and I feel that this is just what I was looking for. These prompts are simple and straightforward and yet broad enough that if I wanted to I could make it more outside the box. Originally this challenge was meant for making sketch/art journals so I am kind of fitting it to my own purposes in that mine will be done digitally and I will nor be doing one every day.
So I am starting this challenge today and we’ll see how it goes. There is a little more then 300 prompts right now and I look forward to slowly making my way through the list. Oh and I am in no way going in order. I could try but I already know that wouldn’t last long.

While trying to figure out google+ earlier I saw that Philip had a post about this color test and thought I would give it a try.
FACT: 1 out of 255 women and 1 out of 12 men have some form of color vision deficiency. Take the online color challenge, based on the official FM100 Hue Test by X-Rite.
A lower score is better, with ZERO being the perfect score.

Suuuper quick Beemo drawing. I have been seeing a lot of cute Adventure Time fan art lately and have been itching to try some. I had to get a quick one out of my system before I could get some real work done. Not even in my normal style, but oh well it was fun.
